Show & CultureShow & CultureHISTOFEST explores the notion of heroes in Europe through the exhibition “The (un)making of heroes”, participatory activities, film screenings and a panel discussion. The selection of photographs and short films focuses in particular on the figures of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Lech Wałęsa, Lenin, Leopold II and Pope John Paul II, as well as ordinary people confronted with the notion of greatness.

From 6:30 p.m.: Doors open Introduction Berlin Hero (original version with English subtitles). Film by Wolfgang Becker Q&A with Dr Jacqueline Boysen (Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl Stiftung, Berlin) No registration required. Free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
