Seven Paintings – Seven Encounters invites audiences to discover painting through a series of unique experiences. Seven major works from the Mudam collection will be presented one after the other, each occupying the exhibition space alone for several weeks. This sequence of presentations, most of which have never before been shown at the museum, transforms the gallery into a place for silent contemplation and intimate encounter. Throughout this cycle, seven artistic practices are successively unveiled, each resonating differently with the history of painting. From Surrealism to Abstract Expressionism, from social engagement to formal experimentations, Seven Paintings – Seven Encounters highlights the diversity of pictorial creation.
