Crazy Cinematographe revisited & relooped combines video and music, inspired by the project initiated by the City of Luxembourg Cinémathèque. This performance is based on the early films marking the transition from the 19th to the 20th century. Echoing cine-concerts, it is enriched by veejaying: films are cut and reassembled live, while an instant musical creation accompanies this cinematic rediscovery. The work thus becomes abstract and spontaneous, offering a contemporary reading of the source material through the talents of Paul Schumacher, aka Melting Pol, a pioneer in live video showcases since 1995, and Emmanuel Fleitz, aka Man'ok, a recognized double bassist producing ephemeral sound creations for over 15 years.
