Mario Vandivinit (*1951) is a Luxembourgish painter and sculptor. Initially a student of well-known artist Frantz Kinnen (1905-1979), Vandivinit completed a three-year drawing course in Paris, where his artistic career took shape through numerous exhibitions. Before turning toward abstraction in the 1990s, Vandivinit was deeply engaged with landscape painting. Traces of this early focus remain visible in his works today, transformed into a more abstract visual language. His paintings are marked by strong Mediterranean influences: luminous atmosphere, warm color palette, organic and floral elements often evoking fruits and plants. In some works, the artist incorporates concrete, introducing structure and balance into the composition. This dialogue between organic forms and constructed material creates harmony and subtle tension within the work. The exhibition "Under a Warm Sky" at VGalerie in Dudelange features his most recent paintings and a selection of sculptures.
