Guided tours of the animalECH exhibition
How do you respond to non-human animals in your environment? Do you admire the intricate webs of a spider, or do you feel uneasy? Are you fascinated by the comings and goings of city pigeons, or do they rather annoy you? What emotions do introduced species, animal testing, or the consumption of animal products evoke in you?
Our personal relationship with animals changes throughout life, shaped by individual experiences, societal developments, and scientific knowledge. The temporary exhibition "animalECH" at the National Museum of Natural History invites you to explore these questions, to critically examine and reorganize your own thoughts and feelings, and to reflect on ethical and moral perspectives.
Curator of the exhibition: Patrick Michaely, Director of the National Museum of Natural History since 2022 after leading its communications department since 1996.
